ECOOP / The Conference Site

The events of the ECOOP will be at different places. During the day events take place in buildings of the university. The map below shows these buildings. Lunch will be in the Otto-Berndt Halle, building S1/11, every day. The bus stops which are nearest to the conference site are marked in the map. The bus stop , Alexanderstraße / TU, is serviced by the busses F, H, K. The stop , Schloss, is serviced by the trams 3,9 and the busses D, F, H, K and L. For those who come by car there is a limited number of parking lots available at the university site. This site is also marked on the map (). To hire a taxi you can call (06151) 19410.

If you are staying in one of the Maritim hotels you can always reach the conference site from the hotel using one of the busses H (direction: Parkstraße), K (direction: Jaupstraße) or F (direction: Oberwaldhaus). You will enter the bus at the stop Berliner Allee. At an average every 7 minutes one of these busses departs there. After your visit to the conference, you can return to the hotel using the busses F (direction: Haasstraße), H (direction: Klausenburgerstraße) and K (direction: Kleyerstraße) departing from the stop Alexanderstraße / TU on Sunday and Schloss on the other days. At the registration you will receive a bus ticket which is valid for the time you attend the conference. So you will have to buy the ticket for getting to the registration in the first place yourself. You can buy the ticket in the bus for 1.25€ (you will need change).

On Sunday only the registration is open. It is located in the building S1/15, Alexanderstraße 10, 64289 Darmstadt. The JML BOF will also be in this building. If you come by bus get off at the stop Alexanderstraße / TU, marked as in the map and follow the arrow.

On Monday and Tuesday the tutorials and workshops take place in the building S1/03, Hochschulstraße 1, 64289 Darmstadt. The registration will also be there. Get off at the bus stop Schloss, marked as . The entrance to the building is reached via a small wooden bridge. The registration can be called at (06151) 166192.

The Reception on Monday evening takes place in the Otto Berndt Halle, building S1/11, Alexanderstraße 4, 64289 Darmstadt.

The Eclipse BOF on Tuesday evening is in the Maritim Rhein-Main hotel, Am Kavalleriesand 6, 64295 Darmstadt. If you are using public transports get off at the stop Berliner Allee. This can be reached by the trams 1 and 9 and by the busses D, F, H and K. The hotel can be called at (06151) 3030.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the technical program and registration are in the building S1/01, Karolinenplatz 5, 64289 Darmstadt. You should get off at the bus stop . The registration can be called at (06151) 166190.

The Welcome Party including the Poster Session on Wednesday evening is in the Martim Konferenzhotel, Rheinstraße 105, 64295 Darmstadt. This can be reached by the trams 1 and 9 and by the busses D, F, H and K. The hotel can be called at (06151) 8780.

On Thursday evening the Conference Dinner takes place in the Orangerie, Bessunger Straße 44, 64285 Darmstadt. The Orangerie can be reached by the tram 3 (direction: Lichtenbergschule) which departs from the stop Schloss. Get off the tram at the station Orangerie.
