ECOOP /
Guidelines for Demonstration Proposals
What should a demonstration proposal include? All demo proposals should
include:
- Information entered directly online:
- Demo title. Select an expressive and attractive title for the
demo.
- The name of the presenter(s). Give the full name and the
affiliation of the presenter. Please specify the electronic mail address as
well. If there are multiple presenters, give this information for all of
them and specify who the contact person is.
- Abstract. Write a brief description (up to 500 words) of the
presented material so that its technical merit, novelty and relevance to
object-oriented technology can be assessed.
- References. Please provide information for further reading
(e.g., an optional URL).
- A text file including a one-page description of hardware,
software (e.g., OS, applications), and orgware (e.g., network availability)
requirements for the demo. ECOOP 2003 may provide basic equipment such as PCs,
projection facilities, etc., but the availability of this and potentially
other type of equipment must be clarified by consultation with the Demo Chair.
How long should a demo be?Regular demonstrations as well as short demos
can be proposed. All demonstrations will be scheduled twice, with a 45 minute
time slot for regular demonstrations, and a 20 minute time slot for short demos.
(Short demos may need to share a regular demonstrations session with another
short demo, or repeat the demo twice within the session.)
For additional questions or clarification, or for your suggestions, please
feel free to contact the Posters
and Demonstrations Co-Chair.
